Maui - Day 2

I got the scoop on the local fishing scene from the tackle shop. Will be using a two-step process that starts with the light spinning rod that I brought from home to catch bait (see photo below) and then moving up to the large beach-casting rod that I rented to catch large ulua (pompano) off of Black Rock.

We met Nicole and her fiancé Alan for breakfast and then fished, snorkeled, and swam for the rest of the day (stopping for drinks and "pu-pu"). Noah got to swim with a green sea-turtle.

Maui - Day 1

Our trip started off with a pleasant and uneventful flight. We were all tired but most of us were too excited to sleep much.

At Enterprise we picked up our mini-van and in the parking lot, changed into shorts.

After a twenty minute drive to the west coast, we joined the “haoles” at Kimo’s in Lahaina. We feasted on delicious “surf and turf” (calamari, ahi, and luau-style pork) and imbibed happy hour Mai-Tais.

After lunch/dinner, the boys quickly found the beach and hit the water.
