Heath and I got up early to go hike on the other side of the island. On our way, we stopped in Wailuku to get some Spam McMuffins. The restaurant that we visited didn't have these on the menu so we had to create our own by ordering spam and rice and replacing the sausage patties from Sausage McMuffins. They were delicious.

The hike was 2.5 miles straight up a ridge. We got there early to beat the clouds but by the time we reached to top we were enveloped in them. We were fortunate that they quickly burned off to provide the views for which we had hiked.

We returned to the "hale" at noon and immediately turned around to head to the beach. Surf was up, and the kids had a blast.

We finished the day by heading to the fish market and buying 4 lbs. of ahi and another 4 of a'u (marlin). We feasted on fresh fish. I barbecued the marlin and Heath prepared the maguro sashimi.
