Maui - Day 1

Our trip started off with a pleasant and uneventful flight. We were all tired but most of us were too excited to sleep much.

At Enterprise we picked up our mini-van and in the parking lot, changed into shorts.

After a twenty minute drive to the west coast, we joined the “haoles” at Kimo’s in Lahaina. We feasted on delicious “surf and turf” (calamari, ahi, and luau-style pork) and imbibed happy hour Mai-Tais.

After lunch/dinner, the boys quickly found the beach and hit the water.

We eventually made it to the International Colony Club where we will be staying. Michele out did herself by booking this jewel. It took us less than a half hour to unpack the car and walk down to Kaanapali beach to catch the sunset.

Although exhausted, we headed over Whaler's Village to do some shopping, eat some fro-yo, and watch some hula.

So far, we’re killing it. Everything about the island is amazing: the flowers, the climate, the people, our “hale”, and the multiple reggae stations on the radio stand out as favorites.
